As Ansel Adams says we "make photographs" as opposed to "taking" them. I have run with that concept, loving to play with post processing, constantly learning new techniques and discovering new (to me) results. Fun, fun! I have enjoyed photography and the post processing as a hobby. I shoot what I want and learn as I go.
But, after a while, people started asking me if I sell my pictures and the idea of actually making some money from it became enticing. Since then I have sold pictures through stock agencies, won a few contests with prizes, sold prints to friends and sold my cards and fridge magnets for charities. I have also done a small commercial job, taking product shots for an online catalog.
It's exciting to have these things unfold in front of me. However, I feel like it's time to get more serious and try to chart my own course a bit more. Time to set some goals and decide which direction I want to go.
