My First Book Cover!

Confession: I do judge books by their covers. Initially anyways. Then I judge them by their font, and then by the first page of writing. But the cover is what catches my eye and makes me pick a book up. I have always loved books. Someday I'd love to write a book. I have some ideas brewing. But as a visual person I also have always wanted to have one of my photographs on a book cover. To provide the first contact with a reader looking for a good story to draw them in.

I've been selling photos through stock agencies for a few years now but a while ago I signed on with Arcangel Images who market mainly to book publishers through offices in London, Paris, Malaga Spain and New York.

In February I got a message that one of my photos was going to be used on a book cover for a Pulitzer prize winning author and it was due to be released in July of this year! Very exciting! A first of many, I hope.
